Matthew Sacco
Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Sacco founded Atlast in June 2003. As CEO of the Company, Mr. Sacco is responsible for seeking new related business opportunities. Mr. Sacco works closely with the president and the Atlast medical directors to ensure a complete and comprehensive roll out of new locations. Mr. Sacco has more than 30 years' experience in construction development and international business development, primarily in the Caribbean. During the past five years, Mr. Sacco has devoted his time, effort and financial resources to the ever-expanding hearing aid industry along with developing the business operations of HearAtLast. He is instrumental in the establishment of the corporate head office located at 6543 Mississauga Road.
Dr. Randy Lacey
Chief Operating Officer
Dr. Randy Lacey has been President and COO of Atlast since inception June 1, 2003 and has worked closely with the Atlast board and medical staff in executing the planned growth of the company to become the dominant player in the pain management and hearing disability field in Canada. In addition to his commitment to Atlast, Dr. Lacey is concurrently CEO of Optometric Associates of Texas, a primary partner with Precision Union Ltd., the largest refractive eye surgery centre in Austin, Texas, president and CEO of Austin Laser Management Company, which oversees business operations of refractive laser centers and is the managing director of Teasley Partners Ltd., a 52 acre prime multiuse commercial real estate development in Denton, Texas which houses a full service Holiday Inn, a mid-rise apartment complex, college student housing and a 16 screen stadium seat movie theatre.
Dr. Lacey is a distinguished practitioner and an accomplished entrepreneurial visionary. He is a refractive surgery consultant, therapeutic optometrist and certified optometric glaucoma specialist who is nationally renowned in the eye care industry. A pioneer, Dr. Lacey was one of the first individuals worldwide to open large hi-tech, one hour optical facilities to the public. With four 'super optical' locations, the concept quickly caught the attention of a Fortune 500 company and in the mid 1980's resulted in the phenomenally successful 'Lenscrafters' superstore franchises. The innovative marketing concept was instrumental in changing the delivery of eye care and optical products globally. On completion of the sale of this business, Dr. Lacey remained involved and guided 'Lenscrafters' with the expansion to over 200 stores throughout the U.S. Today 'Lenscrafters' has 850 locations worldwide. Subsequently, in the late 1980's Dr. Lacey became involved as an executive with Eye Masters and was responsible for helping grow that company from 2 locations to over 300 locations in just two years.
Mr. Robert J. Oswald
President
Robert J Oswald is a veteran of the hearing health care industry with over 20 years of experience in Senior Management, and President of ASSI. He has been Involved directly in all aspects of this unique industry; hearing aid manufacturing, hearing conservational acoustics, clinic management, business development and marketing. As a founder of HearAtLast he brings a vast network of strategic partners from the manufacturing sector and hearing Instrument specialist areas. Robert is a dynamic hands-on leader with exceptional presentation and people skills.
Peter Wanner
Chief Financial Officer
Peter Wanner, Director, CFO & Secretary, 53 years of age -Mr. Wanner has
been a self-employed Certified General Accountant and business consultant
since 1990. During this time period he has undertaken several interim-Chief
Financial Officer assignments and served as a consultant for clients in the
airline, software, wholesale distribution, manufacturing and tour operation
industries. In these capacities, he assisted in the going public
transactions of several companies in the United States, including Aviation
Distributors, Inc., Integrated Data Systems Inc., D'Angelo Brands, Inc.,
Southborough Ventures, Inc., as well as several private placements for
various companies in Canada. From 1983 to 1990, Mr. Wanner was the
Vice-President-Controller for Worldways Canada Ltd., which was then Canada's
third largest airline.
Most recently, Mr. Wanner acted as Secretary, Chief Financial Officer and
Director of Trophy Capital Inc., Ribbon Capital Inc., and Scorpio Capital
Inc., all capital pool companies listed on the TSX Venture Exchange and all
having recently completed their Qualifying Transactions. Mr. Wanner
currently also serves as a Director of First National Power Corp.
Preston Shea
Counsel General
Mr. Shea combines a broad perspective of legal experience with a consummate entrepreneurial background. Mr. Shea is qualified to practice law in both Canada and the United States and served as a Diplomat for the Government of Canada at the Canadian Consulate, Los Angeles. His law practice experience includes Corporate-Commercial matters, NAFTA, Commercial Real Estate, Securities, and Canada/U.S. Immigration law with offices in both Arizona and Ontario, Canada.
Mr. Shea’s association with the Government of Canada included appointments as the Chief of Staff, Federal Minister of the Environment, Special Assistant, Federal Minister of International Trade, and Senior Investment Advisor, Canadian Consulate, Los Angeles.
Preston has acted as both in-house legal counsel and a senior business executive for corporations in a wide range of industries that span the retail, aerospace, commercial leasing, real estate, construction and development, international trade, and brewery sectors. This experience includes extensive work on international business matters with partners and suppliers in Russia, China, Germany, Australia, Canada and the United States.
Mr. Shea has held senior executive positions with Studio One Media, Inc., Global Heat Transfer Ltd., Alberta, StarEnvirotech Inc., California, Parliament Construction Ltd., Michigan, Telephone Network Services, Inc., Toronto, Trans Continental Trading, Inc., Phoenix and The Imperial trust Company, Montreal and exercised Board of Director responsibilities with several of those organizations. His unique balance of business acumen and legal training coupled with significant domestic and international business experience, allows him to play a leadership role in the development and administration of diverse business projects, strategic relationships, and transactions with global partners.
